A colour and mood study for an upcoming project.
Work has been nuts. From October thru to this past month, I’ve been double booked with various projects that have kept me extremely busy. On top of that, I’ve moved from my parents’ house out to my own place, where i’ve set up my office as well.
Nevertheless, while it’s true I’ve been pretty quiet on this site, I’m still drawing. Dr. Sketchy’s Toronto has been keeping me out and about doing life drawing every couple of weeks. For the uninitiated, it’s sort of a burlesque show overall and features three outfits a session. The models are often members of burlesque groups in town, though not always (there was a belly-dancer a couple sessions back, for instance, and a gym instructor who also happens to be a pole dancer).
I am making it out to Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo closer to the end of this month – i think they’ve close to 70 guests now, if not more. The event really is fixing to become *the* Canadian event to go to for comics and entertainment and it’s been really exciting seeing it grow. I’m also really looking forward to meeting up with friends from Calgary again, at least for a little while.
I’ve begun work on a book illustration project which should see production some time this summer. (Paying illustration work! Yay!) More to come as I’m able to release it.
